Finding Dao Falls@ Samboan

Samboan is an abbreviation of the word sinamboang, the origin of the name of the town. Sinamboang is a means of ritual dance commonly used by the people of the village. Like other Cebu towns’ legends as to how they were named, Samboan’s also came about from a language barrier between the European and natives. It seemed that some Spaniards came upon a group of people who were engaged in sinamboang. Curious about the place, they asked for its name but the natives thought they were asking about what they were doing, and they promptly answered: sinamboang.

Samboan is a small town on a hill. But it used to be very much bigger, with Oslob and Alegria under its territorial jurisdiction. In fact, people of Alegria were made to render forced labor for the construction of the Samboan church. It was only some time during the middle of the 1880s that the two towns were separated from Samboan. Before reaching Alegria town from Samboan, you have to pass by the towns of Ginatilan and Malabuyoc, that lies in-between, which could have been created after the separation. These two towns could have been a village or Barangay of Samboan town when Alegria was still part of Samboan. Samboan is on the western part and directly on the eastern part is Oslob town.

Samboan is about 140km from the queen city of the south, Cebu City. It is famous for its beautiful crystal clear waters along its coastal barangays

Ang Dao ay bago lang na deskubre ng mga taga sinamboang kaya naman napaka layo nito mula sa lungsod aakyatin mo pa ito  sa bundok. Nu'ng una ay nahirapa kami dahil sa yung tour guide namin di alam ang daan papunta sa dao. kung gusto ninyo'ng pumunta eh dapat pag handaan ninyo mag baon kayo ng tubig at pagkain, dapat matibay rin yung tuhod ninyo dahil marami kayung aakyatin. Para sigurado mag Planax kayo para subok na matibay subok na matatag.

napaka hirap maka punta rito mga bro kung nais mong makapunta rito eh dapat matibay ka, pero tingnan nyo naman  ang ganda sulit rin pag naka punta kayo rito. Mawawala yung pagod moh!


Kung meron lang sana'ng trabaho na mag lalakbay lang e number one ako'ng mag aaply.

Hanggang sa muli nati'ng pagkikita mga warriors, gwapo, guys. Masaya ako dahil sa kakaibang pag lalakbay na ating ginawa, kahit sa sandali ay nag kasama tayo, hindi ko malilimutan ang araw na ito lalo na dito sa Samboan. Bahagyang naalis ang mga kalungkutan na ating dinadala. Masaya tayo'ng nag kwekwentuhan sa parke nagtatawanan, animo'y para'ng atin ang lugar na iyon.
Hanggang sa muli kaibigan, hahayaan ko ang panahon na pagtatagpuin tayo'ng muli. mamimiss ko kayo.!
